01/20/13 - Today I ordered the pattern for the Stitch Along from Erica Kaprow. I still haven't finished the other folk art quilt I am making of her design but I'm almost done with it. I'll probably keep you updated on that one too as I "stitch along". I downloaded the pattern which saved time and postage but not printer ink! LOL! I put the pattern in plastic sleeves as I've learned how tattered they can get when you're working on something.
01/28/13 - I keep meaning to order felted wool for the background as it is cheaper than wool but I use wool for the appliques. Her instructions call for 100% wool and I thought of all the black wool I have that is not good for anything other than backgrounds and small pieces! In fact I stopped searching for dark wool as I have so much of it in used clothing I buy at thrift stores and garage sales. Duh! I'm sure I can get blocks out o fit but will check tomorrow before I order anything. All my wool is felted already.
