Great Monday....how about you?

It rained so I didn't work outside but I got a lot done inside...laundry, changed sheets, vacuumed etc.  I also straightened up some areas like my kitchen table that is used for bullet journaling and sewing........sometimes I eat there but rarely! LOL!
I also auditioned fabrics for a new project bag for the start of YOP 2017-18 which starts in July.  I'm going to make a drawstring project bag this time.  I'm trying to decide which type of project bag I prefer.
I did some work on another birthday present but you can't tell what it is or who it's for so I think I'm safe.....
In the afternoon I stopped and made myself a cup of Tazo Passion Fruit tea....so good!  I am trying to  stay balanced in my activities....I like to get daily things done but I also want to make progress on long range projects and also do some things for myself......
I heard Amber from Maker's Haven talk about a book that she finds artistic inspiration from and I think I will order it...........I tend to be so practical and anal (my science side) that I need to ensure I use my artistic and creative side...hopefully this will give me just the inspiration I need.  I also want to get some watercolors or watercolor pencils to 'play' with......... her illustrations in this book are beautiful.....I downloaded a sample to my Kindle...........
I also saw this one which looked really good...........she has a blog....The Cozy Kitchen which looks really yummy!  Anyway....the key is balance for me and the fact that my RA flared up was a sign that maybe I am a little off balance.  I cannot afford to get down with RA so taking care of myself and my needs is going to be my first priority to ensure I stay in remission.
I think I did have a balanced day today and I feel good about my accomplishments.  I hope you had a great day today too!
Happy Trails!

    1. Good for you! I don't think I could clean my whole house in 1 week let alone 1 day...that's awesome. My house it too big, I have too much stuff and my energy is not what it used to be and some of my limbs don't like to cooperate either! What's up with that? LOL!

  2. Hi Sam! You always amaze me with everything you manage to get done. I feel like all I've done is take care of myself for months now. I just subscribed to "The makers Haven" podcast so I can go and see what you like about it. I find I usually like the same sort of Podcasts did you do. :-) I like the looks of that book too. I'm glad you're taking some time for yourself. It is very important. I'm all alone at the lake tonight. Well, Chloe is with me. Hubby had late meetings tonight and it would be so late when he finished it's not worth the drive out here. He wouldjust to get up early in the morning for work again. I'm always a bit discombobulated when he's not with me at night. Ha! Have a lovely evening my friend. Blessings, Betsy

    1. I wish I was there and I could keep you company and we could knit! LOL! And watch podcasts together. I know when I was married and traveled for business it was hard for me to get to sleep in a strange bed and being used to sleeping with someone but now I sleep better than ever! LOL! It's all in what you get used to, I guess. Your husband and I are both Capricorns....we're not happy unless we're working! LOL!

  3. Sam I Am, I know what you mean about balance. I am a bit overwhelmed trying to clean house during the "messy house time of year" and garden, and get ready for our daughter's grad party. She is helping, but the garden work is in overload. I spent about 10 minutes on the porch, but was so tired I went to bed early. I accomplished quite a bit boy I was tired.

    1. I wish we were neighbors then I could come over and help you! I was tired last night and hit the sack early too but then I was able to get up at 4:00 and be ready to go outside early so that was good! I'm not even reading 2 pages before it's lights out! LOL! Yes, busy, tiring and lots of work to do this time of year!

  4. I like that apple material. I love project bags but gave only made 2 little ones. Do you use a pattern or wing it? I wish I was your neighbor. I have some prednisone I would give you to put you back in remission. I haven't had a bad flare for quite a while but keep the pred close in case. I think you have great balance in your daily activities. You inspire me so much.

    1. Actually, I have prednisone but not sure if I should take it as they always warn you about weaning yourself off of it slowly and it's old meds but just in case I wake up and can't move....I'll be taking it! It's not too bad so I am hoping it will go back to sleep again! LOL! I use a pattern that I got free off of Pinterest. I just searched for free drawstring project bag pattern. I'll let you know how it works. I don't have it in front of me right now. The sun was out today so I had to get work done outside. No sewing for me! Boo Hoo!
You inspire me too! Its' a 'mutual admiration society'! Hugs~Sam
