Crazytime U.S.A.

No, I'm  not talking politics although that is a whole other bag! LOL!  No, it's just been crazy in my life right now and remember my word this year?  FOCUS.....well let me tell you.....I am being severely tested on it!  But aside from that I am still luckier than at least 2/3 or more people in the world so I will keep my mouth shut which, if you know me, that is not easy! LOL!
But Spring is in the Ozarks!  My workload has once again doubled with outside and inside.  I am hanging clothes outside again.......so wonderful!  There are the Spring rains but mostly at night.
The daffodils are blooming and all is right with the world...well, my little world anyway as long as I keep to myself, stay away from Face Book and the television and don't answer the phone! LOL!
I have actually gotten quite a bit done this week considering and I had a couple days where I had boundless energy which really helped.  I've scrubbed and vacuumed and gone through gobs of paperwork and gotten some handwork done (tomorrow's YOP blog post will show it).  I'm wanting to do so much more but I do run out of steam.  Today, I wanted to sew but alas, that did not happen.  I did get chicken and noodles in the crock pot for dinner and I ran up to the local stores for some items and then the usual daily chores but that's all.  Where does the time go?  There were some phone calls from family and now that the weather is nice the girls are like kids....in and out, in and out...now I know why  people get pet doors!  They went to the vet this week for rabies shots and Annie (the miniature dachschund) is scheduled for dental surgery on Tuesday.   She will have some teeth pulled....they are getting old like me.
I think I caught up with every one's blogs today and I apologize for being 'gone' from blogland but my son's illness and issues are a logistic nightmare right now but thankfully he is being helped by many in one way or another and we will see this through together.  He's doing well and staying at my daughters until his appointments (multiple issues and multiple doctors) are all done and then he might be coming to stay with me until he gets on his feet.  My daughter has Spring Break and may bring him down then when she comes if all works out alright...thus the 'logistic nightmare' part.
So, that's all the news that's fit to print and I hope you are all enjoying this early Spring!
Happy Trails!

  3. You have flowers to prove it is spring! I am sorry to hear that your son still has heath problems to deal with, that is too bad. I bet your place would be a good place to recoup too. It was nice here today almost 50 :)

    1. I am hoping that Mom's healthy regiment will help him get on his feet again and give some 'respite from the storm'....there are times in life when we all need a helping hand....even me! LOL! So glad you are having some of those warm temps too. The robins are winging their way to MN!

  4. It's good to see you back. I just can't believe how much you get done. And you have daffodils! We still have snow. I'm keeping your son in my prayers. I'm sure a visit with you would be very helpful for him. Especially if you make him chicken and noodles! Ha ha! Have a lovely Sunday my friend.
    Blessings, Betsy

    1. Your encouragement is always a lift to my spirit. He's on a soft diet so he might be able to handle that and hopefully will be off of that when he gets down here but we shall see. I think you're right though....that would be a good one! I'll post it soon as it was really delish! You have a great day also and I hope you are feeling better...you have to...Spring is coming to a neighborhood near you! LOL!

  5. You still manage to outdo most people despite everything else you might have going on. And you always make me laugh. As do the politics of the day and the people who are supposedly leading the country. What a disaster. Sending healing wishes for your son. Blessings, Tammy

    1. Yes, Saturday night live is having a hay day as are most comedians...I tend to laugh in the face of danger too....even when I am terrified on the inside! I pray your sons are safe from all this and if they need anything or even a place to go....'the recluse' is here hidden away in the Ozark foothills! LOL!
Thank you for your kind wishes too,

  6. You've been so busy! The daffodils are such a wonderful sign of spring. We don't have any here in my garden in the uk although a few crocuses are poking their heads up. Sorry to hear about your son's illness. I hope he gets better soon. X

    1. So glad to hear from you! You really got my sewing mojo going this week with your blog post! It is on my list for today along with Debbie Shore's videos! I love my friends in blog land and You Tube...so much inspiration! It was just what this gal needed! I've been seriously thinking about a "Harvey J" too? It would sure come in handy! Stay tuned for, hopefully, some sewing from me this week!
