Busy day and I started REALLY early!

We had a storm early this morning that woke me up at 3:00 a.m. so I just started my day a bit earlier than usual.  I made my coffee and crawled back in bed to journal as I've done for many years.  I lit a candle and enjoyed the storm!  Besides many routine chores I've been working on reorganizing my craft pattern notebooks............
I used to have them organized by YOP year and also by knitting and crocheting but I have so many patterns now that I would have to search and search for the right one.  Now, I am on to "divide and conquer" so there are multiple notebooks organized by item as opposed to craft...such as hats, blankets, shawls, socks etc.  I put them all in plastic sleeves that have the holes for the notebook rings.  I got adhesive labels at Walmart and so far so good but now I've run out of notebooks! LOL!
I have done well lately in the organizing and cleaning department.  I have not yet attacked cupboards or drawers but I do have porch, both bathrooms, family room, my bedroom and kitchen done except for my desk in the family room.  I still have "miles to go before I sleep" but that's another day.  Last night I made a ziti casserole (meatless Monday) and it is very good.  I got it on All Recipes and I think it was Carol's Ziti Casserole.  I'm really getting tired now so I am going to call it a day!
I hope yours was a great one.  It was 76 here today....early Spring for sure!
Happy Trails!

  1. 76!!!!!!! Oh my goodness! It was 19 here. And more snow predicted tomorrow. I don't think we're going to have an early spring. I think I've already told you that's how I organize all of my patterns. In three ring binder's in the plastic sleeves and then by the type of item. It makes things much easier. I hope you get to sleep better tonight.
    Blessings,

    1. No, I didn't know you organized that way too. Great minds think alike! I've been doing it for several years but like I said....with so many patterns now I needed a new system....bigger and better!

  2. Love your notebook idea. It was 76 here in New Orleans today with many tornados. I grew up with those things and is one of the reasons I moved to Arizona.

    1. It was wet out from the storm but it was nice and I washed a few things outside and opened a few windows too. It was very nice but not sure it will last. I need to check the long range forecast. You inspired me with all your organizing!

  4. That is exactly how I organize my patterns that I print too. It was almost 60 here yesterday, but that is an odd occurrence. It rained all day too. You are way ahead of me in the cleaning department. I'm still working on the utility room and my bedroom closet. I am making another pile to donate, and have my desk about completely emptied (to move to another room).

    1. I'm sure the 76 was a fluke here too as it is not normally that warm this time of year but I'll take it! My desk is going to take some time as it is a mess! I've been putting it off but I really need to clean it out. But like the craft notebooks....I kept coming across patterns I had printed then went to the notebooks and they were full so then decided to reorganize them so it would make it easier to file and easier to find. See how I fall down those rabbit holes? I have a zillion more just like that around here! LOL! But it does feel good to "follow through".
