I'm still full! LOL!

And so blessed to have more than enough on my plate.....I would have shared it if I knew anyone that wanted to.  Maybe I should take in a foster child...I've been thinking about that lately.  Maybe after I move up North.  My Aunt and Uncle raised 9 foster children besides one of their own and me! LOL!
They were wonderful people and I miss them.
I cooked for most of the day and watched football...the Bears yesterday (they lost) and Iowa Hawkeyes today!  I'm quilting and watching the game and later I'll "debone" the bird.
Go Hawks!!!!
I found some hexie templates in different sizes on the internet for future projects.......

and I'm working on the 9 patch doll quilt............
What a fun day.....lots of good food, football and crafting and maybe a walk later as it's in the 50's and sunny!  No black Friday here! LOL!  Happy Trails!

  1. I hand sewed a hexie quilt a long time ago...it is a top now and My Mother is thinking I should finish it. Someday perhaps I will do another so I have two...I did find that my pattern which was plexiglass got smaller as I went ...I used a rotary cutter. LOL. Good that you had too much food now you have leftovers and some to freeze:)

  2. Go Hawkeyes! I was born and raised in Iowa! We had an unusual Thanksgiving with none of our children able to make the trip home my Hubby and I decided to forego the traditional dinner and I made enchiladas at his request instead. I finished a sweater for Christmas for our daughter while watching Christmas movies in the Hallmark channel. It was a good day although we missed our children.
    Blessings,

  4. What a blessing it is to have plenty to eat :)
We had plenty as well, and we are grateful for that blessing.
I just had to smile, when our daughter was boning out the turkey for me.... she asked me what happened to the rest of the turkey. Ha! I bought turkey breasts, and there was no rest of the turkey...**hehe*.

Still chomping on leftovers, and looking forward to decorating for Christmas, and watching movies.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, sweet friend.

  5. The doll quilt sure will be sweet! We cooked a big meal for the two of us and had leftovers tonight. I love leftovers, don't you? Have a good weekend! Hugs!
